This is kind of the relaxed closing. If there's a late mix out there, feel free to still post it to this community, otherwise I'm going to assume everyone who finished has posted.

Thanks to everyone who participated! This was my first time running a challenge and it was so fun to see everyone participate and listen to all your mixes. Thank you guys and I hope you enjoyed making the mix!

This mix tells a little more of a story than I intended or anticpated. You can insert the AU scenario of your choice. Frank and Gerard meet and fall for each other. They're nervous about it, but eventually get together. And then they start having problems and forget why they love each other for a while. But eventually they remember and realize that whatever happens, they've got each other and they do love each other and that counts for a hell of a lot.

I'd Call Myself So Very LuckyCollapse )

What this is:
* fourteen songs (plus one)
* friendship turning into something else, shifting again, and circling back

What this isn't:
* a beginning
* an ending

don't ask me to riseCollapse )

This is a sort of overarching mix, spanning the whole of their relationship. It can apply to any canon, but I made it with the closest to actual canon AU in mind, with the band exactly as we know it, except that Frank and Gerard fall in love. A lot of these songs represent just how crazy in love I think they are with each other.

trust meCollapse )

I knew as soon as I saw this challenge that I wanted to mix for the OTP I've been sticking to since the days when Chiz first got in TAI. Out of all the guitarists I've seen in Butch's backing band since Michael's departure, he's never really acted the same way with them the way he'd act with Michael. The same with Michael and the rest of The Academy Is... I actually got a bit sad when I went looking for old pictures of them for the covers. If things had been different, I still like to think they'd be playing music together. This mix follows a rise and fall sort of pattern. Falling in love, falling apart, and longing. I sort of left the ending optimistic and open ended. Hey, I'm holding out for 1969 part 2 as much as Michael is.

I never wanted to be your weekend lover...Collapse )

There's no "narrative" to this, per se, just impressions of a relationship developing from Pete's creepy stalker tendencies rubbing the right way against Ashlee's inferiority complex, getting crushed and pureed through partying, infidelity, and general stupidity, resulting finally in a sweet, adorkable romance (and doooooogs, and a cute baby, but I cut this off at their wedding song, so). You may find ridiculous inside jokes and connective tissue (and a reference to my other, more twoo bandom OTP, ha).

( All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arise. )

Fake cut to my LJ, which is crossposted from my DW.

I felt kinda bad for choosing this pairing, but like a friend said:”you're the unique incestuous snowflake”. I am. There is nothing wrong with liking what I like, hope someone else will as well.
Title from Muse.
So, this whole thing is kinda from Gerard's pov.
Endless red tape (to keep the truth confined)Collapse )

A mixture of lyrics, out-of-context Twitter messages, a picture and two videos all about Gabe Saporta and Pete Wentz. I would like to preface this by saying that all grammatical and spelling errors are theirs and not mine.

I know the whole story, yeah. It's up to Pete to reveal it when he wants.Collapse )
